🇸🇨 One Week in Seychelles – 6 Nights

3 Nights on La Digue | 3 Nights on Mahé

Seychelles was everything we hoped for and more, turquoise water, stunning beaches, lush tropical scenery, and a relaxed island atmosphere. It was a perfect week! 😁

✈️ Before You Go

🛂 Travel Authorization (Visa)

We applied for the Seychelles travel authorization one day before departure.

Approval arrived within 12 hours (although they state it can take up to 24 hours).

You need to upload:

Flight tickets
Hotel reservations (in English)

📶 Internet

We used an Airalo eSIM, and it worked perfectly throughout the trip.

✈️ Flights

We flew with:

flydubai
Emirates

We landed early in the morning and headed directly to the ferry terminal.

⛴️ Airport to Ferry Terminal

We booked a shuttle with Creole Travel Services.

Transfer time: short ride
Cost: €10 per person
Must be booked at least 24 hours in advance

For the ferry, we took half a tablet of Travamin before departure, which helped a lot with seasickness. I highly recommend taking it with food and avoiding looking out the window during rough seas. It can make you sleepy.

🏝️ La Digue

We spent 3 nights on the island:

Night 1

Stayed at:

🏨 Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie

We wanted to treat ourselves for the first night. Beautiful property and atmosphere.

Nights 2–3

Stayed at:

🏨 Le Repaire Boutique Hotel

A simpler but very charming hotel.

Since we spent most of our days exploring the island, it was perfect for our needs.

The hotel also arranged our bicycle rentals:

100 SCR per day when renting for multiple days
150 SCR for a tricycle

🚴‍♀️ Transparent Kayak Tour

One of our favorite experiences!

We joined a transparent kayak tour with Anis.

550 SCR per person
3-hour tour
Additional 150 SCR park entrance fee
Cash only

The guides were fantastic and the experience was excellent 👌🏻

Afterward, we spent time exploring the beaches inside the reserve and visited the giant tortoises.

🌴 Beach Hopping Adventure

On our second day, we explored some of La Digue’s most beautiful beaches:

Grand Anse
Petite Anse
Anse Cocos
Anse Caiman

We cycled to Grand Anse first.

The ride takes around 30 minutes and includes several hills, but the scenery is beautiful.

From there, hiking trails connect the beaches through the jungle.

Expect:

Steep sections
Rocky paths
Uneven terrain

Closed shoes are highly recommended.

💙 Favorite Beach: Anse Cocos

The most beautiful beach in my opinion.

Walk to the left side near the large granite rocks. There you’ll find calmer water suitable for swimming and some of the most spectacular scenery on the island.

The larger beaches often have strong waves and swimming is not recommended.

The entire beach trail takes roughly an hour, excluding stops for photos and relaxing.

Absolutely worth it 😍

🍽️ Restaurants on La Digue

1. Le Domaine Buffet

Included with our stay.

Large variety of food and very tasty.

2. Le Repaire Restaurant

Italian cuisine.

Good food and atmosphere.

Advance reservation recommended.

3. Belle Vue

Belle Vue

Located at one of the highest points on the island.

Amazing panoramic views.

We didn’t get a sunset because of cloud cover, but the scenery was still beautiful.

Local cuisine
600 SCR per person

🌺 Mahé

On the fourth day we took the 07:30 ferry to:

Victoria

Arrival was around 09:15.

The return crossing felt much smoother and the seasickness medication helped a lot.

🚕 Taxi Recommendation

We arranged airport transfers with David.

He offered the best prices we found:

Port → Hotel: 600 SCR
Hotel → Airport: 700 SCR

Very reliable, punctual, and friendly.

🏨 Constance Ephelia Resort

For the rest of our trip we stayed at:

🏨 Constance Ephelia

Everything you’ve heard about this resort is true.

The property is stunning, especially:

The incredible North Beach 😍
The spa area 👌🏻

🍽️ Restaurant Reservations

One important tip:

Book all restaurant reservations before arriving.

We only booked one restaurant in advance, assuming we’d reserve the others later, but everything was fully booked and we ended up eating mostly at the buffet.

If you want the specialty restaurants, reserve them early.

We stayed on a breakfast-only basis and paid separately for dinners.

🍴 Adam & Eve Restaurant

Located within the resort:

🍽️ Adam & Eve

Absolutely delicious 🤤

One of the highlights of our stay.

🛒 Small Convenience Store Nearby

Near the North Beach exit there’s:

A small food stand
A local grocery store

We bought drinks there throughout our stay.

Prices were reasonable, including alcoholic beverages.

🌳 Zipline Adventure

I tried the zipline experience and loved it!

The course includes:

7 platforms
Jungle scenery
Professional guides

A fun and unique way to experience Mahé from above 🤩

Reservations can be made through the resort reception.

🐢 Sainte Anne Marine National Park

On our final day we booked a tour through GetYourGuide to:

Sainte Anne Marine National Park

Tour link

Cost:

€90 per person
Hotel transfers included

It was one of the best days of the trip 👏🏻

Highlights included:

Glass-bottom boat ride
Feeding tropical fish
Snorkeling
Walking between small islands through shallow turquoise water
Beach lunch
Visiting giant tortoises

The colors of the water were unbelievable 😍

🌦️ Weather

The weather was very unpredictable.

About 3–4 days were mostly sunny, while the rest constantly changed:

☀️ Sunshine
☁️ Clouds
🌦️ Light rain
🌧️ Heavy rain for 10 minutes
☀️ Sunshine again

Despite the changing weather, it was warm all the time.

Even with clouds almost every day, I came home very tanned.

⭐ Final Thoughts

Seychelles is one of the most beautiful destinations we’ve visited.

Between the breathtaking beaches of La Digue, the luxury and nature of Mahé, the crystal-clear water, giant tortoises, snorkeling, kayaking, and unforgettable scenery, every day felt special.

A perfect week in paradise. 🌴💙

Enjoy your trip! 😁
