Maldives – July 2021 🇲🇻

A paradise on earth 🥰 A dream birthday vacation.

We flew with Flydubai, with a layover in Dubai, and landed in Malé – the main island of the Maldives.

The Maldives is an area made up of many small, stunning islands. Each island has a single resort where guests spend their entire holiday. Some islands are accessible by ferry, while others require a seaplane flight (like in James Bond movies) – an incredible experience in itself, with breathtaking views of the islands from above.

We reached the island by seaplane – an amazing experience. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the hotel staff waving in a traditional greeting, followed by a refreshing drink and a buggy tour around the island to show us the facilities and our villa.

The island is surrounded by spectacular beaches with turquoise water and white sand. There are swings in the ocean, hammocks, seating areas, restaurants, a luxurious spa, beautifully designed gardens, pools, and everything is styled perfectly to create a dreamy vacation atmosphere.

There are also many water activities. Some are included in the stay, such as snorkeling trips, sunset cruises, and kayaking – all of which were amazing. Other activities come at an extra cost. I personally tried flyboarding – it was challenging and difficult at first, but I eventually succeeded, and it turned into an unforgettable experience.

The stay also included a wonderful massage and spa treatment at their amazing spa – pure relaxation.

The restaurants on the island are excellent, and you need to book in advance which one you’d like to dine at each day. All meals are included in the stay. Every restaurant was great, but my favorite was the Indian restaurant – my favorite cuisine 😋 You can order unlimited dishes, and we tasted everything. It was perfect.

In addition to all the luxury and relaxation, the resort offers fun daily activities that make the experience even more special. Every morning, there is a coffee station at the main bar where baristas create coffee art. I even received a special birthday coffee, which was a lovely way to start the day – delicious and heartwarming.

Another highlight was a hidden bottle treasure game. Every morning, staff hide bottles around the island, and guests search for them. Each bottle contains a prize. On my birthday, I woke up early and searched for a long time until I found one – winning a bottle of champagne! A couple we met won a jet ski ride. It was such a fun and unique activity.

Every few days, the resort also holds a “wishing tree” ceremony. Guests write their wishes on colorful ribbons and hang them on the tree. Seeing all the wishes from guests around the world created a magical atmosphere and added something very special to the experience.

It was a perfect week. The most beautiful ocean I have ever seen – truly paradise. A luxurious, unique, and unforgettable birthday celebration. 🥰
