Three days in Manuel Antonio – A Jungle & Ocean Escape in Costa Rica 🌿🌊

Our 3 days in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica were a perfect mix of rainforest, wildlife, and beautiful beaches. It felt like waking up inside a nature documentary. 🥰

Transportation

We arranged a shared minibus transfer directly from the airport to our hotel in Manuel Antonio.

We contacted them via WhatsApp, and everything worked smoothly, the driver arrived on time, was very friendly, and the ride took about 3.5 hours.

The cost was around $100 per person round trip, and they also operate transfers to other destinations across Costa Rica.

Where We Stayed

Hotel Costa Verde

We stayed at Hotel Costa Verde, a unique jungle hotel built into the hillside overlooking the ocean.

The hotel has a very special aviation theme:

Three old airplanes on the property
Two of them converted into hotel rooms ✈️
One turned into a restaurant
Spacious jungle setting with multiple buildings and restaurants
Two swimming pools
Internal shuttle service between different areas of the hotel

We arrived at night, so we didn’t fully see the view until morning, and it was breathtaking.

Waking up to the jungle meeting the ocean from our balcony was unforgettable 😍
A truly special and highly recommended stay.

Manuel Antonio National Park Tour 🌿🐒

Link

We joined a guided tour through Manuel Antonio National Park, and it was one of the highlights of Costa Rica.

The guide was excellent:

Spotted animals we would have never noticed on our own
Used a telescope to show wildlife up close
Explained everything in a fun and engaging way
Took photos through the scope for us

We saw a wide variety of wildlife, including camouflaged animals hidden in the forest.

The tour ends at a beautiful beach inside the park, where we had free time to relax. On the way out, we even spotted more animals along the trail.

Playa Espadilla 🏖️

A beautiful and scenic beach located just outside the park.

We walked there from the hotel (a downhill walk along the road), and took a taxi back.

It’s a long, wide beach with a relaxed vibe and stunning surroundings, perfect for swimming or just enjoying the view.

Internet & Transport

We used Trip.com eSIM throughout our South America trip, which worked well across most countries. Link

For transportation in Costa Rica, we mainly used Uber, which was convenient and reliable.

Final Thoughts

Manuel Antonio was pure magic 🌿✨

From waking up in a jungle hotel overlooking the ocean, to seeing wildlife up close in the national park, everything felt alive and unforgettable.

It was one of those places where nature is not just around you, it’s everywhere.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Costa Rica. 🥰

Enjoy your travels! 😍
