Wonderful wonderful Copenhagen 🎶
3 Days in Copenhagen 🇩🇰✨ – Birthday Celebration for My Mom
We spent 3 wonderful days in Copenhagen, celebrating my mom’s birthday.
The trip combined beautiful design hotels, great food, cozy cafés, amazing parks, and a perfect mix of city vibes and calm Scandinavian atmosphere. 😍
Where We Stayed
25hours Hotel Indre By (Night 1)
A stunning hotel with a unique retro-inspired design and a lot of personality.
We booked a night with breakfast included, and everything was excellent.
One of the highlights was the music room with vinyl records, you can sit there, relax, and listen to great music 🎶
The location is also excellent, close to the main streets and just a few minutes from the metro.
Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden (Night 2 – Birthday Stay 🎉)
A beautiful and very special hotel.
The main attraction is the indoor tropical-style pool, which is absolutely stunning.
We chose this hotel specifically because of the pool and it was worth it.
The location is great: about 7 minutes from the metro and 10 minutes from Tivoli Gardens.
Tip: it’s often cheaper to book directly through the hotel website rather than through booking platforms.
Transportation & Practical Tips 🚇
Day 1: We bought a metro day pass at the airport (~70 DKK) and used it extensively.
Day 2: Everything was within walking distance.
Day 3: We traveled to the Louisiana Museum using a combined ticket (train + entry) purchased at 7-Eleven (~235 DKK).
We used Airalo for internet (~$4.5 per GB), which worked perfectly.
Google Maps was essential for navigating the metro and walking routes.
Food & Cafés 😋
Reffen
A cool street food market by the water.
Food stalls are built from repurposed shipping containers, giving the place a creative and sustainable vibe.
We tried Greek food and cheese dishes, both were delicious.
TorvehallerneKBH
A vibrant food market just a few minutes from our hotel and next to a metro station.
We tried the famous Danish smørrebrød at Hallernes Smørrebrød, plus some kransekage for dessert.
Buka
A cozy café near Nyhavn with amazing pastries and sandwiches.
Everything was fresh and delicious 😋
Gasoline Grill
A well-known burger chain in Copenhagen.
I had the vegetarian burger, it was excellent.
We took it to-go and had a picnic in the gardens of Rosenborg Castle, just a 5-minute walk away.
Conditori La Glace
A historic and elegant café.
We came here for birthday cakes, beautiful cream cakes in a classic European style.
The interior is charming and feels very traditional and upscale.
Copoke
A small and unique restaurant near Tivoli Gardens serving taco-sushi fusion.
Very tasty and fun concept 😋
Tivoli Food Hall
A lively food hall near Tivoli Gardens with a wide variety of stalls.
Great for quick bites and casual dining.
Vaffelbageren Nyhavn
A popular ice cream and waffle spot in Nyhavn.
The ice cream was really good, perfect for a stroll along the canal 😋
Things to Do & See 🌆
Tivoli Gardens
A beautiful and magical amusement park in the city center.
We visited twice, once in the afternoon and again in the evening.
At night, we saw a stunning ballet performance and a light show over the lake 🤩
Even without rides, the gardens themselves are lovely to walk through.
Nyhavn
The iconic Copenhagen harbor with colorful houses and waterfront restaurants.
One of the most photogenic spots in the city.
Freetown Christiania
A self-proclaimed independent neighborhood known for its alternative lifestyle, street art, and creative atmosphere.
A very unique and interesting place to explore.
Superkilen Park
A modern urban park with bold design elements and colorful installations.
A great place to relax, walk around, and take creative photos.
Rosenborg Castle
We didn’t enter the castle itself, but we enjoyed a lovely picnic in its gardens.
Peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
One of the most impressive museums I’ve ever visited.
Located by the sea, surrounded by nature, with glass architecture that blends indoor exhibitions with outdoor scenery.
We took a train from Copenhagen (~30 minutes) and used a discounted combined ticket for transport and entry.
Highly recommended 👌🏻

Celebrating my mom’s birthday there made it even more special.
